What to Do in Vienna in 2 or 3 Days

Vienna – the Austrian capital, home to many extraordinary talents such as Wolfgang Mozart, Franz Schubert, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Herr Sigmund Freud, etc. is a natural treasure trove of culture, art, food and aristocracy. You can spend days, weeks even, looking in every nook and corner admiring a work of art; but what if you only have a weekend? What to do in Vienna in 2 or 3 days’ worth of time?

Where to Stay in Vienna?

I stayed at the Vienna Hostel Ruthensteiner and personally, that would be my recommendation to anybody comfortable with staying at a hostel. Really cute little place out in the 14th district; great, friendly people, amazing breakfast. Help! My Tour Got Canceled but Travel Insurance Won’t Pay

The problem: Their trip was not technically “interrupted,” since they spent all 18 nights aboard. Several times in my conversations with insurance executives I heard the phrase “You’re not covered for loss of enjoyment,” but I imagined this applying to a week of rain at a Caribbean resort, not an Antarctic cruise that never made it to Antarctica.

I also heard from a reader named Alan, of Vaughan, Ontario, about a nightmarish return from Vancouver to Toronto during last Christmas season’s storms. After three WestJet flights were canceled and another delayed, all because of the weather, the next flight they were booked on was canceled because of a crew shortage, and he and his wife were stuck in Calgary overnight. Alan had paid for his trip with an HSBC credit card that offered travel insurance through Assurant.

WestJet customers holding their breath as strike notice jeopardizes travel plans

MONTREAL — The travel plans of WestJet customers are up in the air after its pilots’ union issued a 72-hour strike notice Monday night.

The gambit by the Air Line Pilots Association kicked off a countdown to a flight crew walkout at 3 am EDT on Friday morning, just ahead of the trip-laden May long weekend.

Vancouver resident Debby Raffard said she’s been anxiously checking social media for updates about her May 22 flight to Hawaii, which she booked with WestJet in November.

“I am beyond upset,” she said, expressing frustration on both sides.

“I don’t have that extra money to pay for another flight, nor do my traveling companions. So we are essentially screwed here,” Raffard said, noting the group made a non-refundable condo booking.

WestJet subsidiary Swoop notified customers there is no impact on operations so far. But WestJet said Monday night it had started preparations to cut

Another expo in the pink city, but with a very elaborate and eclectic decor. Shopping is such a great experience amidst such vibrant spaces and with so many unique things to choose from. It was the name Bookchor (Chor = Thief) that fascinated me into finding more about this company. Their aim is to make reading affordable by selling second-hand books at reasonable prices. You get to buy as well as sell books on their website, so increasing your reading base without spending too much. Their quality inspectors ensure that the books are in decent condition.

These pictures are from their recent event held at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur. “Lock the box”, so all the books that fit in the box are yours. There were three different boxes : Odysseus (priced at 999 rupees and could fit 9-10 books), Perseus (priced at 1499 rupees and could fit 15-17 books) and Hercules (priced at 2499 rupees and could fit 28-30 books) . So you had the option of browsing the entire collection and then deciding which box to go for.
