5 Reasons to Visit Glacier National Park This Summer

A few summers ago, in conjunction with Visit Montana, my 7-year-old daughter and I flew to Whitefish, Montana and explored Whitefish and Glacier National Park for four days. It remains one of my favorite trips – it was an easy destination from Los Angeles, the hiking, kayaking and fly fishing were great, the park was gorgeous, and we had lots of fun. I love the bonding when I go on adventures with just one of my kids.

Gigi Hadid Arrested For Pot Possession in Cayman Islands

11:31 AM PT — Cayman cops deny the bribery allegations, telling us, “Our officers categorically deny the bribery related allegation which has been made against them by Ms. Hadid. Allegedly fake travel agent arrested in $245,000 ‘kiting’ scam in Whitby


A Whitby woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged $245,000 “kiting” scam.

Durham Regional Police allege the woman posed as a travel agent to collect money from clients to fund their vacations. However, she is accused of not using the money as agreed, but keeping it for herself. This kind of operation is known in law enforcement as a “kiting” scam.

Investigators began to receive reports of the woman’s alleged fraud in October 2020 and began an investigation. They claim to have learned she operated this scam from 2011 to 2019. The additionally claim she used a fake certificate from the Travel Industry Council of Ontario to win over victims.

Police say the woman operates her own business as Travel Girl Inc. as a professional expert group travel and destination weddings. She has used more than 21 different aliases, including;

Google-Sabre Deal Lets Travel Agents Check Carbon Emissions for Flights

Accessing carbon emissions data for flights will one day be standard fare across the travel industry. These implementations are a sign of more to come.

Travel agents using Saber’s desktop software have begun receiving carbon emission data when they search for flights, and corporations that use the company’s booking tool for road warriors, GetThere, will get access later this year.

Access to this data about which flights are the biggest polluters and those that have a somewhat more benign environmental impact — relatively speaking — comes through a several-year-old Saber partnership with Google.

For example, the data might estimate that a JFK to London Heathrow evening departure on Virgin Atlantic has 29 percent lower carbon emissions than all flights on that route on average. The idea is to help environmentally conscious travelers make informed decisions.
