Summer travel season is fast approaching but with so many places from which to choose finding the right destination can be difficult.

But don’t delay, because planning those trips early can save time and money.

Travel Agent Trey Tracey of Kim Sims Magnolia Travel Group in Madison said Italy, Greece, Hawaii, Mexico and Jamaica are among the top travel destinations this summer.

“Ocean cruises are coming back with a vengeance,” Tracey said. “Many of our clients are booking cruises and other road destination trips. Europe as a whole is one of the most prominent destinations thus far. Despite the rise in flights since the COVID-19 pandemic, our agency has seen more clients for the summer. “

Tracey said the best time to book summer vacations to get the best prices is mid-June to early August.

Tracey said Memorial Day weekend is when they see an uptick in bookings.

Mar-A-Lago Workers Moved Boxes Of Papers Before An FBI Visit: Reports

Two employees at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort moved boxes of papers around the property a day before FBI agents and a federal prosecutor visited in their effort to recover classified documents, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.

The Washington Post first reported that a maintenance employee at the Florida club told federal prosecutors he saw Trump’s valet, Walt Nauta, move the boxes on June 2, 2022, into a storage area before he offered boxes to help without knowing what the contents contained. That same day, a lawyer for Trump contacted the Justice Department and said DOJ officials could come to Mar-a-Lago to pick up classified files, people familiar with the investigation told the newspaper.

A TikToker Planned An Entire Summer Trip Using AI & He Says It’ll ‘Wipe Out’ Travel Agents

Artificial intelligence has been helping people get a lot of different tasks done quickly and efficiently, now one TikToker is pointing out programs like ChatGPT that can also be a very effective travel planning tool for your next vacation.

TikTok user @traveltipswithjay posted a video showing how AI helped him plan his entire summer trip to Paris, and he’s claiming it’s so good it will “wipe out” travel agents.

In the clip, the TikToker used the website Forgemytrip.com where he typed in that his entire budget for the Paris trip was $1,500 and he wanted a private tour of the Louvre.

The AI ​​site didn’t take long to type out an itinerary for the trip.

“I accidentally wiped out the entire travel agent industry,” he captioned the clip.

Spirit Airlines asks a Puerto Rican family to show passports then denies them flight

A Puerto Rican family traveling from Los Angeles to the island of Puerto Rico was denied travel on Spirit Airlines because the parents didn’t have a US passport for their toddler.

The parents didn’t need a passport — nor did their child — because Puerto Ricans are United States citizens and Puerto Rico is not an international destination.

Spirit Airlines apologized to the parents immediately after CBS News reached out to the carrier looking for answers.

“In this specific case, an agent at LAX who is new to the position misunderstood the identification requirements,” it said in a statement. “We are providing the agent with additional coaching and reiterating proper procedures.”
