Three hotels in California rank among the nation’s best. Here’s why people love them

Travelers making summer plans in California are in luck because Tripadvisor just released the best hotels in the US, and three places in the state made the list.

Hotels in Laguna Beach, Sausalito and Santa Monica were recognized as three of the travel agency’s top 25 hotels in the country, according to a May 23 news release.

The Montage Laguna Beach, a hotel that rests on coastal bluffs in Laguna Beach, ranked No. 7. The hotel resort sits on 30 acres with 260 guest rooms.

Tripadvisor reviewers raved about the dining options, which include: the Studio, The Loft, the Mosaic Bar & Grille and the Lobby Lounge for “light bites.”

“I have been going to (The Loft) for many years now. The food is amazing and the view is top notch,” said one reviewer.

Travel Industry Looks To Chinese Tourists To Cap Post-Covid Rebound

The return of Chinese tourists to destinations worldwide will top off a spectacular post-coronavirus global tourism revival this year, according to industry leaders.

Jet makers, airline executives and hotel tycoons at this week’s Qatar Economic Forum spoke of an apparently insatiable demand for travel. Chinese tourists, now unshackled from Covid-19 restrictions, will complete the boom, they said.

“The desire to travel has never been greater and the industry is struggling how to respond to that demand,” said Boeing chairman David Calhoun as he told of the aviation giant’s battle to meet the demand for jets.

Leisure travel has overtaken business as the main reason for taking a plane or booking a room, according to Sebastien Bazin, head of Accor, Europe’s biggest hotel group.

In Italy, connect with the locals, how to interact with locals in Italy

I read about a young man who had learned six different languages, so he could easily travel and meet and talk to the locals. He said he has made his life so much more interesting. Traveling really is about the people, the language, the food and yes of course, beautiful places and beautiful scenery.

But what to use is this if the people are grumpy there and make you feel bad too. Or if you are grumpy…..! One always remembers a place for the wonderful service, the fantastic food or the endearing things that people do. Maybe it also has something to do with your mood – if you are exhausted, feeling lonely, arguing with your travel companion or missing your children then that place will not be remembered as being good. Living in a place is also so different to visiting for a day of course.
