Actress Keke Palmer, who starred in the 2022 film “Nope,” said that security agents threatened to throw away the 16 ounces of breast milk that she was trying to bring through airport security.

“Breast milk discrimination at the Houston airport ruined my mood,” she said Tweeted. “I should’ve popped my tit out right then because the discretion and comfort of pumping is thwarted with threats to throw out over 16oz of my babies food?!?!!! Why is that not a crime?? I’M A MOTHER for crying out loud.”

Canadian Agents Discover the Nile with Exotic Journeys

It was a memorable FAM for nine Canadian agents who traveled with Exotic Journeys to the land of ancient wonders along the Nile.

During their week-long stay, the group had the chance to participate in several excursions and visit breathtaking sites. Some highlights include exploring the iconic Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, and the National Museum of Civilization.

The group then flew to Aswan to board the Movenpick Royal Lotus for a 3-night river cruise along the Nile, stopping at the High Dam, Philae Temple, Kom Ombo, Edfu, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsute Temple, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple. They then flew back to Cairo for some shopping at the vibrant Khan El Khalili Baazar and enjoyed a farewell dinner aboard the Four Seasons First Nile boat.

Bill Belichick on when DeAndre Hopkins will visit: I’m not a travel agent

Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is visiting with the Titans on Monday and said last week was that he will then move on to a meeting with the Patriots, but it’s uncertain just when that meeting will take place.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick didn’t offer any suggestions about the date of the visit when he spoke to reporters at a press conference on Monday. Belichick said “we’re working through some things” when asked about the timing of Hopkins’ visit and that he doesn’t know right now when it will happen.

“I’m not a travel agent,” Belichick said, via Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.

If things go really well between Hopkins and the Titans, there might not be a reason for someone who is a travel agent to get involved with booking Hopkins’ trip to New England but it looks like we’ll have

No pilots, no panic: Travel agent warns against worries ahead of potential strike

WestJet pilots issuing a notice of a strike just days before the May long weekend shouldn’t cause panic for travelers just yet.

Terry Kaszas, general manager of travel services for CAA Saskatchewan, said travel agents have been getting a few questions and concerns with the looming threat of a strike.

As a strike hasn’t officially started, however, he said there haven’t been too many frentic calls yet.

Kaszas advised travelers not to be concerned.

“I don’t think they should be worried just yet. Let’s wait and see what happens before we cause any panic,” he said.

His biggest piece of advice was to get in contact with a travel agent if a strike did happen.

A TikToker Planned An Entire Summer Trip Using AI & He Says It’ll ‘Wipe Out’ Travel Agents

Artificial intelligence has been helping people get a lot of different tasks done quickly and efficiently, now one TikToker is pointing out programs like ChatGPT that can also be a very effective travel planning tool for your next vacation.

TikTok user @traveltipswithjay posted a video showing how AI helped him plan his entire summer trip to Paris, and he’s claiming it’s so good it will “wipe out” travel agents.

In the clip, the TikToker used the website Forgemytrip.com where he typed in that his entire budget for the Paris trip was $1,500 and he wanted a private tour of the Louvre.

The AI ​​site didn’t take long to type out an itinerary for the trip.

“I accidentally wiped out the entire travel agent industry,” he captioned the clip.

Expedia TAAP unveils new agent tools & URL at Toronto open house

At yesterday’s Toronto event, part of a cross-Canada series that also included open houses in Montreal and Vancouver, the Expedia TAAP team celebrated its many successes with approximately 100 guests. Rebecca Cregan, TAAP Commercial Director – North America, tells Travelweek that in Q1 in 2023, the Expedia Group saw “strong growth in our B2B business, driven by an expanding partner base and growth from our existing partners,” and that its overall B2B business, of which TAAP is part of, grew by 55% compared to the same quarter in 2022.

“Our team has been pleased to see the strong recovery since the pandemic. At Expedia Group, one of our core objectives is enabling growth for our B2B partners, with travel advisors playing a central role in this. We continue to invest in TAAP, and with that comes looking at other locations where we can provide advisors access,” said Cregan.

Few options, higher prices for travelers amid looming WestJet strike

On Tuesday, travel agents and WestJet passengers received a notice from the airline after the pilots from Canada’s second-largest airline issued a 72-hour strike notice.

This looming disruption comes ahead of the May long weekend and has travel agents like Claire Newell crossing their fingers and toes that an agreement was made before the Friday morning deadline.

Newell is the president of Travel Best Bets and says a strike will cause a domino effect, and “it’s going to be a pandemonium.”

In her experience, Canadian airline strikes are a rare event, so she was pleasantly surprised that WestJet has provided advice and information readily available at travel agents’ fingertips.

“WestJet has planned for this, and they’re making it as easy as possible given the unfortunate situation,” she said.
