Family trip to Susesi Luxury Resort, Antalya, Turkey with Jet2holidays
Turkey is a country we love. It was the place we brought our daughter for her first holiday at just 11 weeks old. We were so happy to return with Jet2holidays. For a week in the spring sunshine at the wonderful Susesi Luxury Resort in Antalya.

Jet off
We flew from our local airport, Bristol. It was so straightforward and easy. We parked up, checked in and were through departures in no time.
I love how much luggage allocation you get – all the space to ensure we have everything we need for a week away.
The flight was on time and we were on board and settling back with books and snacks. I was really impressed with the onboard food selection – well priced and lots of choices.
It was wonderful to look down on all the places we passed by – The English Channel, Germany, The Alps, Macedonia, Greece.
When it comes to flights to Turkey this was comfortable, clean and punctual.
Arriving in Turkiye
When we arrived the luggage was waiting and we were through customs and greeted by Jet2 representatives.
In less than ten minutes we were on the bus. We were at the resort 40 minutes later. So easy.
The Susesi Resort, Belek
Once at the Susesi Luxury Resort with Jet2holidays it’s time to really relax. It is located in Belek, just outside of Antalya City.
It’s a big hotel with all the facilities you could need. Perfect for holidays to Turkey. As it’s ‘All inclusive plus’ there was also no time that we ever felt hungry.
rooms
We stayed in one of Susesi’s senior suites. This was perfect for our family of five.
We had two bedrooms. One with a twin bed and a sofa bed for our third child.
The other was the main bedroom which was really big. Both rooms had lovely views out to the sea.
The rooms had kettles and cups and there was a complimentary mini bar which was replenished each day. The kids love this – grabbing a cherry fruit juice and a bag of crisps is the perfect mid-morning treat.
There was plenty of hanging space for all of our luggage. Then a large bathroom with a big shower (sadly no bath) and lots of space.
We were really comfortable in these rooms. It was the perfect space to come back and relax in.
Facilities at Susesi Luxury Resort
The Susesi is really well set up so that you will never have to leave. There is everything you could want here and more.
Swimming pools
Our children love to swim and the pools at The Susesi Luxury Resort did not disappoint. There are five outdoor pools through the site.
These include a children’s pool and four pools with children’s sections. Unfortunately at the very start of April when we visited it was a little too chilly for us to use these.
But that doesn’t matter because there are also three indoor pools including a kids’ pool. We were in these every day.
There is also a small water park on site with water slides and shutters. Perfect for the summer months.
Other sports and activities on site
Along with swimming there is so much else to do here. This includes tennis, basketball, yoga, squash and volleyball.
There were so many activities taking place across the resort. It would be impossible to be bored here.
Beach
At the bottom of the resort is the long stretch of sandy beach. There’s plenty of seating here and water sports to enjoy in the area if you enjoy them.
It was lovely to be able to stroll down to this beautiful bit of coastline each morning.
Entertainment
The resort was just gearing up for the season when we visited and all the activity stations were being prepared.
There is always something going on. From arts and crafts to live DJs, and mini-discos to quizzes. If you like to. be entertained there will be something for you to do.
Kids club
There’s a really large kids club on site. This is for four to 12 year olds.
Here trained staff get the children involved in activities including arts and crafts, sports, movie nights and story times.
It goes on from 10am until 11pm.
Spa
There is also an onsite spa. Here you could get treatments and there’s even a hairdresser.
There was a really impressive range of Turkish baths, steam rooms and saunas.
Dining at The Susesi Resort Antalya
the Susesi Luxury Resort is an all inclusive plus hotel. All inclusive holidays with Jet2holidays are a great way to travel as you know there are no hidden costs.
As such there is a plentiful supply of really good quality food and drink throughout the day and night.
Breakfast
We loved breakfast at The Susesi. In fact it was probably my favorite meal of the day.
There was a freshly squeezed orange juice station and wonderful coffees including delicious Turkish coffees made to order.
We loved the egg chef and the children got omelettes every morning.
There was a huge array of foods. Pastries, cereals, fruits, salads, Turkish breads, yoghurts, juices. It was an incredible display.
We always took our time over breakfast, really enjoying it. There was so much choice we all came away happy.
Lunch and dinner at The Susesi Luxury Resort
Lunch and dinner at the Susesi was equally impressive. The main restaurant has a huge range of foods to choose from.
We love grabbing slices of pizza or making our own sandwiches. There was plenty of hot food and lots to enjoy here.
As with everywhere through the resort drinks are included and these are all named bottled drinks. The kids thought this was the best thing ever.
Other food
Also around the resort were other places to pick up food. It was wonderful to wander and come across someone making traditional Turkish breads stuffed with cheese. You could also pick up kebabs and salads and lots of ice cream.
The patisserie
Our favorite place was the patisserie. Also included in the offerings at The Susesi Luxury Resort it is full of cakes and desserts.
We would always end our day here. Coming together for coffees and juices for the kids and then a range of cakes (the macarons are lovely) and ice creams.
The bar
Another favorite area of ours was the bar above the main restaurant. We would visit here during the day for coffees and juices and some crisps.
In the evening we would order cocktails (espresso martini for me) and mocktails for the kids (they loved the Shirley Temples). It was a lovely space to come together as a family.
Vegetarian and plant based / vegan
We thought the range of plant based food was particularly impressive at the Susesi. There was a section especially for this.
There were plenty of hot options and lots of thought went in to it with vegan sauces, cheeses and puddings all available.
A’la carte options at The Susesi Luxury Resort
For every week you are at the resort you can eat in one of the a’la carte restaurants. There are a number to choose from and we picked the Italian.
We enjoyed the meal here with pizzas, pasta and fish all picked by family members. We actually preferred the meals in the main restaurant though which had such a great choice and quality. If you’re in the resort for a couple of weeks though I imagine the a’la carte meals would break it up a little.
About Belek
The Susesi Resort is right on the edge of the small town of Belek. It’s very easy to walk there – it takes about 20 minutes – or you can get a taxi which is really cheap.
Belek is filled with shopping and we enjoyed a few trips out to pick up clothes, sweets and a few souvenirs. It is incredibly touristy but perfect for a spot of shopping.
Day trip to Antalya from the Susesi Resort
We also decided to take a day trip to Antalya, the main city of the region. You can catch a bus into the city but we decided to pay for a private taxi to take us there, wait and then bring us back.
We really enjoyed Antalya.
Jasmine blossom fragranced the air with its sweet perfume. There was a lovely bustle about it and some beautiful streets to wander through.
We loved getting lost in the old town of Antalya as cats lazily stretched out on doorstep and crumbling buildings sat beside beautiful heritage hotels.
There was plenty of shopping to be done here too and the prices were generally better than Belek. There were also lots of restaurants to enjoy.
The best thing about Antalya is the history. You can actually walk through the original Roman gate to the city.
Hadrian’s Gate from 130 AD is still being used today in its original function as a gateway to the city. It is said the Queen of Sheba passed through these gates.
It’s an impressive site and well worth taking a trip to see.
What did we think of our family trip to Susesi Luxury Resort, Antalya, Turkey with Jet2
We had a wonderful trip to The Susesi Resort. We have visited Bodrum before but this was only our second trip to Turkey and we loved it.
Traveling with Jet2 made it so easy with flights that were comfortable and on time through to easy transfers and information.
We thought the accommodation was fantastic from the food to the facilities. This is certainly a part of the world we want to explore more of and it was great to have a taste of it and know we want to return.
